Gloucester après Turkey Day Work Out

Finishing touches on an awesome Turkey with my sis, her fam, Sadler family friends Peggy and Laura. Stayed up way too late w/ Trippe and Stephen ,  Les's husband, watching the Ravens to continue to try to lose the game… Lord…..

Sunshine broke early, it was crisp , cool, strong Northerly blowing the water out of the river…. nothing like a country run, quiet, sans the occasional rabbit hunter and their dogs, plenty today….  :)

Long sandy soft lane, Elmington Lane in Gloucester Va, great , great place for working out, with Ware Neck just around the corner and Beaver Dam State Park, @ Gloucester Court House for biking….

Managed  a few miles, but it was more about taking in the solitude and country… "sticks" as we call it  on the shore.  My sis and her fam are so fortunate to live and enjoy the Northern Neck… can't wait for the next visit… til then….

Cold, Rainy, Run? uhmmmm ….

Easy to blow off today's running… North Easter brewing, cold , nasty rain…. but went ahead and hit the trail while Trippe was swimming at SPY.  On the way the Mids were cranking it , heading out on their afternoon run, in shorts and T- shirts…. crazy kids.

On the trail , just me and one other girl that I saw in over 4 miles, probably the only ones out there. A couple of sprinkles, dressed appropriately, and had an awesome run. Glad I got it in.

Blew off swimming tonight though, once inside and hearing the rain hit the sky lights, that was an easy choice…. my coach is not going to smile, as this would have been first time in pool in 4 weeks…. Oh well, the TRI life goes on.
