5 days of quarantine in the books, ? , yes , when you leave the Great State of MD, it is recommended, not "required" or even mandated, that you self Q yourself. 5 days? you say, should not it be 14?, moi was advised that 5 days was more than prudent last week, and low and behold the CDC adjusted their guidelines this evening to reflect health distancing, washing hands, etc. were the new guidelines. F the Q. All good, here. As for the Q, I did it, wish CDC had gotten on the stick sooner, not fun, mask, gloves, wiping down, etc. I get it, understand it, and fully agree with it, to save lives of others, that you may come in contact with, and may pass the China virus on and they may die. All good.
Any hoo, what is this diatribe all about? Freedom. The ability to do what you want, when you want, without restrictions within the constructs of societal acceptance. Try Q for 5 days, and you will greatly appreciate your citizenship in the US. At least up to this point in our unique "free" history.
Never thought how much it would affect moi, sure I thought easy peasy, 5 days Q, do some exercise, read some books, do more exercise, read more books..., uhh , no..., not easy peasy... you are locked down.., no outside, no wondering around your abode, no nothing, no nada. And you must notify any / all you are venturing to get water, ice, etc. , garner yourself w a / face mask, gloves, get what you need, wipe down all that you touched w gloves with disinfectant, and proceed back to your dungeon. Fun? ... no ... not ... an absolute pain in the ass..
But yes, all for the greater good, not potentially infecting others who could die... I get it... still a major pita, would not wish on my worst enemies. Stick needles in my eyes...😊
We should all really take a step back, and realize what China has done to us, the US, the World.
It is a Biological war, WW III. China can spin however they want, it is what it is, and as of right now, 01:00 am on 4/9, there are over 88K deaths World wide, and we have over 14K deaths in the United States, because of China. Yes, China. Like or not, they are responsible for this horrific Virus.
So what is the take away? Freedom, never, ever forget your God given right in this beautiful Country, United States of America, that you have Freedom. To be holden to any one other than the US is weak, naive, and a prescription to more pain than anyone can imagine, just look at what is happening right now, real time. It is what it is. Horrific.
I love my Freedom, my rights, I will pass that along to my children, my family, my friends, and I will be forever fervent that they, all, never forget what Freedom means.
