The Blue Line

The Blue Line...., back in the saddle w/ Jenn's TRI Masters @ Riva Olympic Swim Center this fall. Really missed the team, and so glad to be back in the lane. New faces,  great to see. Took a hiatus last fall, no excuse.  Coach wasn't pleased,  me, worse, really dissappointed in my committment. Not good.

Made sure all was is line, personally, mentally, and physically for  the work outs this fall, and wow.... really, really missed  the incredible sets.  Tonight was quite good. 2,600 + yards... , awesome.. :)

Coach Jen, Jen Bistrack, on sebatical , enjoined Coach Keith McCaferty to lead the workout, and a great workout, thanks Keith.

Biggest take away was the retrospect watching that blue line down below, in between breaths, thinking and enjoying all the great news from Amalie doing well on her exams today, Alden same, and really thankful for spending "cool"   time with Trippe, whether watching football on TV, or shooting cans with our guns.

Just very thankful for the  very  best cool kids who keep their Dad grounded in Love, Respect, and Integrity...., thanks kids for making The Blue Line.... secondary .... , :) Love - Dad

Spring Has Sprung..., thank God...

April was a little dicey..., maybe 2 or 3 days of "warmth."  May appears to be on track, we are about 30 days behind schedule.., yet I will accept that,  with 82 degrees today, heat, sun, and sweat.

God I love sweat... :)

Training day with full focus on run, bike , and then swim, however a typical Sunday with family obligations, leads to 1 or 2 of the above..., and I will take uno, a fantastic Run at the Naval Academy.

AM started early, church, greeted the the Clifton Fam, great to see all. Then wound up closing some deals, and off to the Naval Academy.

Gorgeous noon sun, breeze, tons of boats in the Harbor and on the Severn, and folks on the yard.

A very quiet, reserved run... taking "it all in, " just enjoyed every friggin moment... , Father Costello this am, focused on "Mom" - ents.... and that is exactly what I did... got lost in all the memories... , just kept running, looking, seeing, and thinking... . running, and running... best run in a long while...

A great Mother's Day without my mom, really enjoyed the "Mom- ents," miss you..   Caroline Jean Bauman, miss you  ,  miss you lots. Happy Mother's Day... :)

Spring Has Sprung! Sort of...

March 29th, frigid, cold, actually snowed yesterday on z run....., even the kids could not believe it...  "Dad is that snow?...."    the winter that would not vacate.  Actually, let the door hit you real hard in the ass on your way out to April...  :)

Article today, Antarctic warmest ever...., please give us the warmth here.

The annual Annapolis Triathlon Club Chili Cook Off heralds the end of dormancy and the beginning of training until December. So psyched for the 2015 racing season!

This evening was really cool, 7 Chili Cook Off entries, hope to see 20 plus next year, fellow Triathletes, wives, husbands, spouses, significant others, and kids! The kids part is important. Having been a member since 2007, and supporting the club as Social Chairperson for many of those, have never seen so many kids.... , a great sign, we have new future Triathletes in our midst.  Pretty cool to see the transition. Very positive sign.  Healthy, strong living is on the rise.

Take away from the ATC Chili Cook Off:   We have  a great Club, great Triathletes, great Families, and a super base to grow from. Oh... , and some damn good chili chefs! Wish I had all 7 crock pots in my kitchen right now.... so incredibly good! Thank you all.  And thank you Scott and Kelly for organizing.

Una mas before the sign off....... , it is cold, it is chilly.. but our own Gus Curtin is going to head up the Annual Good Friday ride at Centennial Park, Columbia TRI, 7 am Friday. Wheels down @ 7am. If you can make it, please try, no pun intended, we need to take back Spring from Winter... Peace. Be safe out there.
