IM PR 70.3 was on the schedule, coming up mid March, the 18th. Opted to designate flight to my bud, son, for his South Florida Jr. Olympics, Water Polo last week. Felt great for him, a little dejected for moi, really wanted to hit San Juan again, for what I feel is absolutely the best, most beautiful and fun 1/2 Iron Man on the schedule.
The whoa is me, feeling sorry I wasn't going was completely erased yesterday. Ran into a friend, diagnosed with cancer, he is battling it, very sick, but he is not giving up. He shared that his wife, was just diagnosed as well. She is his support, his guiding light, now is facing an immense challenge.
That really hit home. When you think you have issues, or challenges or let downs, you really don't. When you see what is happening to your friends and loved ones, it is humbling.
Take away, if you have any issues or disagreements with friends, family, co workers, or acquaintances, perhaps put them aside, and focus on what is truly important. The now, life, and being the best that you can possibly be.
Don't fret the small stuff, because life is too short, so short. Before you know it, it is gone, and so are your friends, family, co workers and acquaintances.
